Traditionally, patients undergoing open, minimally invasive, or transvaginal surgeries receive instructions through paper handouts, phone calls, and in-person consultations. These types of communication are likely to be time-consuming and unstandardised.
With Buddy Healthcare’s platform, patients now have access to a comprehensive digital care pathway before and after surgery. The platform automatically delivers tailored care information, including, but not limited to, nutrition and medication guidance, infection prevention measures and important appointments directly to patients’ mobile devices. After surgery, patients have access to detailed postoperative instructions, can complete symptom questionnaires, securely upload wound images or send messages through the app, enabling the care team to monitor recovery remotely and intervene when necessary.
