Accessibility Statement
The accessibility statement applies to BuddyCare iOS and Android mobile applications. The statement was prepared on 23.6.2021 and was last updated on 20.11.2024.
Fulfilment of requirements
The BuddyCare mobile applications largely meet the A and AA requirements of the accessibility criteria required by the Act (WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2) and have no critical shortcomings in their accessibility.
An external expert assessment of the accessibility was conducted in June 2021. The identified accessibility shortcomings are described below.
Content and functionalities that are not yet fully accessible Weak contrast
Some content has too low contrast ratio in the visual representation of text and text images. The contrast ratio is too low also in the visual representation between some buttons, icons and the background. (WCAG 1.4.3, WCAG 1.4.11)
Orientation
The application does not work in a smartphone's landscape position (WCAG 1.3.4). However, the application works on iPads both in landscape position and portrait position.
Error notifications on forms
When one or more of the form fields are left unfilled, there is no visible notification that one or more text-fields are unfilled (WCAG 3.3.1). Error notifications are to be improved in certain question types in questionnaires.
Accessible Authentication
Partially compliant. The mobile applications follow the requirements from ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and the NHS for user authentication, such as multi-factor authentication. (WCAG 3.3.8)
