Buddy Healthcare won the silver medal in the 5th edition of the Grupo Fleury Innovation Award (PIF) pitching competition on November 21, 2019, in São Paulo, Brazil!
Our Brazilian partner Paulo Roberto Bettio presented the BuddyCare Care Coordination and Patient Engagement Platform to the jury together with 41 other Brazilian companies who participated in the competition (start-up category).
First, Fleury's board chose Buddy Healthcare to the top five finalists based on the following criteria
a) Degree of innovation of the idea/solution;
b) The originality of the idea/solution;
c) Value proposition and market potential of the idea/solution;
d) Relevance to the health sector;
e) Application of the solution on the patient's journey: diagnosis, health monitoring, well-being and prevention, care, recovery, and follow-up.
After all the top-5 start-ups had presented the final pitches - The jury announced that Buddy Healthcare won the silver medal in the Grupo Fleury Innovation Award.
The jury was compounded of seven innovation specialists, from Fleury Team and Partners. The jurors pointed out the importance of the patient experience, not only in surgical procedures but also in medical diagnostic procedures. Having patients on track in each step of their journey, before, during, and after the procedure, would bring significant advantages for the care quality and service. With the use of the platform and digitised care pathways, healthcare providers can avoid many problems related to patient tracking.
